What are you looking for?:

I am primarily looking to start up a 2nd ed Darksun campaign focused on roleplaying, character development and story. I'd like to have 2 basic campaigns going on at the same time with some overlap so players can work in multiple characters. I'm thinking one wilderness oriented and the other city oriented.

Right now the group is just my girlfriend and I though she will be able to play from time to time only. I'm looking for players that enjoy developing characters' backgrounds and ones that like a serious game. Athas is a serious world. Joking around and fun are important too, but I primarily like to have a serious group of people who know how to roleplay accurately with their characters. I'm bummed when, as I read on a post someplace, the 6 INT 1/2 orc is the only character who can figure out the puzzles. I am open to using some use of minis, but roleplaying will be most important. I enjoy creating the stories for players to work, but if people are interested in GMing from time to time, I'd be game to be a player too!

My girlfriend and I can host a group if we were to remain small, say 3-4 people, but I'd also like for people that join be open to hosting. If we get larger, our small apartment is not going to work.

About Me

Biography:

I'm a 30 something graduate student and archaeologist. I have played roleplaying games on and off for the past 20 years. I have played, in nearly historical order, the original D&D, AD&D 2nd Ed, a few games of personal creation, Battletech, Mechwarrior, Palladium, Shadowrun 3rd and 4th eds, DDO(though this is pretty boring). I've taken a bit of a hiatus from tabletops and am looking forward to getting back into them.
