What are you looking for?

I'm presently the primary GM for a tabletop group on Vashon island meeting once every other week on Saturdays, so, mainly, I'm looking for players that live on Vashon. If that's you ... talk to me! I've tried to fill my profile out to match that game rather than to portray my individual preferences. As of writing, we haven't settled on any specific system, setting, or even style of play.

My individual preferences, incidentally, go something like this:

I like roleplaying better than straight combat, but I like large-scale schemes better still; rather than saving the kingdom from the evil overlord, I'd rather sweep in and seize the throne during the aftermath, and I enjoy the same tendency in my players. I also have a perverse fondness for player infighting, whichever side of the table I'm on. These two preferences are exemplified by Ars Magica and Paranoia, respectively, which are a couple systems I've been dying to try for far too long.

I think three players to one GM is the ideal; I'd rather have four than two, and I'd rather have two than five or more.

I've played at least as much online as in person, and, on the whole, I think I like online slightly better. It depends on the players, though, and I've soured on play-by-post. If somehow you find me and you're looking for a player or a GM for an online game, that's ALSO a good reason to talk to me!
