What are you looking for?

I prefer a group where development of the story and characters are the main focus in the game. It seams that too often, the characters become about the items they carry and how tough they are instead of their motivations, personalities, and where they stand within the campaign world.

I also prefer a slow experience progression and low magic campaign) as it tends to allow for more character and story development since there is less emphasis on character leveling and items. I also like a pretty serious game.

The group I play with now are a fine bunch, but the campaign is showing shades of becoming a Monty Hall, heavy combat campaign. The other players like this type of game play, so I have decided to look for a game that better fits my tastes.

I tend to stay away from spell casters, though occasionally I will play a Ranger or Cleric. I prefer the Fighter and Rogue classes most of all. I don't like to play stereotypical characters, so I like to work up back stories that give the characters some flavor.

While I do like a good fight, I do not want one or two every session. I like a mix of role-playing, story, skill challenges, etc.

I have played some online games through MapTools and Teamspeak. I am open to this sort of game, by would prefer face to face.

Biography

I got into D&D2.0 when I was in high school and played a weekly game throughout college. I started up again about three years ago with D&D 3.5. Then, about 2 years ago I found the Pathfinder Beta...and it has been my game of choice ever since.
