- What are you looking for?:
- I like a good story driven game with plenty of opportunities for conflict, politics, and the never ending struggle between light and darkness. Mostly I like to create fun and interesting characters, plots, NPC's, and situations where its never that easy to just hack-and-slash your way to victory. I think a memorable game is built by the players and the Gamemaster, where they work together to make stories and experiences that stand the test of time. Nobody forgets a memeroable game, and those games are what makes this hobby worth doing.
About Me
- Biography:
- Been an actrive role player since 1978. Started with the red box Dungeons and Dragons set and moved on to playing Traveller, Gamma World, etc. In later years I took an interest in many miniatures games, including Warhammer 40K, which I love the history and fiction that goes along with the setting. I have also tried card based rpgs and diceless (none of which I was overly fond of) systems. I am currently 44 years old and have been experimenting with a lot of indie-based rpgs and companies. I find that the freshest new content out there is by these younger guys and girls who are "breaking the mold" and thinking outside the box. Reams of paper and information are not what makes a great game. Good stories and open minds willing to experiment with new systems and ideas are what keeps me in this hobby. I play twice a week right now, in the local game club on Tuesdays and at my home of Thursdays.
