What are you looking for?:

I like trying out new game systems. Especially rules light systems. I'm talking 30 pages or less. Crunchy=bad. Prefer "Role-playing" rather than "roll-playing." I also like making highly modified versions of these to suit the story we want to tell. The FATE system is the best system I have seen for doing that.

I like systems that value and support non-physical conflict resolution so that the "rping" scenes have just as much mechanical weight as the "fighting" scenes. I also value systems that let you do more cinematic, abstract action scenes without doing a bunch of numbers crunching or looking up rules.

I also would like to have players that take turns being GM. I find that enjoying things from the other side of the table once in a while only makes you a better player. But of course you can ease into this.

And for what good it does, as everyone says, I am looking for intelligent, laid back, drama free games.

Just moved to Asheville last year and I have been trying to put together an "indie game" group for quite a while with mixed success. So many people refuse to try anything other than DnD!
