What are you looking for?:
Iím open for pretty much anything. I think something beyond the standard fantasy setting might be interesting, but Iím not picky. I do prefer light or streamlined rules. Too many restrictive rules can squelch the fun right out of a game and turn it into endless number-crunching. The fun, for me, is in exploring a unique world where actions have consequences, and I donít need to minimize my THAC0 or whatever to do that. The advantage of Pen and Paper games is that they have remarkable flexibility that other games canít match. Iíd prefer to play a game that takes advantage of that flexibility. Tactics and strategy is fine, but war games do it better.
Iím pretty new to Pen and Paper games but Iíve always been interested. I just never had a reliable group or the free time. Iíd play a session or two, off and on, but I never had a regular, long term group. I hope to find a good one this time (not that Iím judgmental, by Ďgoodí I mostly mean one that doesnít break up on the second session). I promise, Iím friendly and reasonably clever and willing to jump through a lot of hoops for some good gaming. So, if you need a player in the Everett area, I live by Silver Lake, give me an email, my schedule is remarkably free. If itís further away, say in Seattle, you should still feel free to drop me a line. Although I hate driving, so if youíre not doing something totally awesome I might be grumpy.
