- What are you looking for?:
- Even though I generally enjoy homebrew Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder games, I'm looking for any type of Pathfinder game for the most part. Aside from that I'm willing to play or try most other tabletop/card games such as Dominion.
As a player, I generally am willing to make whatever the party needs and have experience with all types of roles. If given the option, I generally lead towards a caster or other support role. A good game in my mind is one that engages the players in the story, fosters connections (and jokes) between members in the party, and still manages to leave time for interesting and challenging combats.
When DM'ing, I generally create my own world. However, I typically employ an approach where I only lay the foundation and let the players build upon that. For example, I'll provide a backdrop/main story line, but players are free to jump the tracks and watch the world react to their decisions. An optimal player for me is one that is generally fun to be around, sociable, likes to at least try to roleplay, and is willing to do some exploring/getting engaged in the plot instead of only hacking and slashing.
I'm also excited to start using the Pathfinder adventure paths if given the opportunity.
About Me
- Real Name:
- Bryan
- Biography:
- I've been in the area about a year now after completing graduate school. Dungeons and Dragons has been one of my favorite hobbies since high school and I have been playing it off and on for the past decade. Needless to say, my head is still crammed with pointless knowledge all the way back to 3.0. My familiarity with the rules/errata is equally uncanny due to checking out forums when bored.
Prior to recently accepting my new full time job in August of this year I had around 4 games that I was involved in some shape or form. Sadly, now I have been reduced to playing only one game on a monthly basis. Even though I'm not putting much effort into looking for a new group, I wouldn't mind trying to fit another game into my monthly schedule.
