What are you looking for?:

I am currently running a game on Thursday nights, and due to job changes and some players moving we are losing some players, as a result we are transitioning to a new night and are looking for more players. Our current group is 40%RP/60% combat, D&D 3.5 and set in the Forgotten Realms world but our own recent history. Group is level 8 now, with a dedicated ranger/archer, warrior were tiger due to a minor cursed artifact. With a hireling cleric and rogue.
Ideally we would like a 2-3 more, and would like a healer, wizard or magical damage dealer, and a rogue/scout.
We prefer medium magic with magical items found not bought, to keep magic special and rewarding, outside scrolls and potions. Not that a store never has magical items, just that in the store they are much less common and most likely to be simple +1 to +3 items when available.
At the moment we are somewhat infrequent due to job schedules, but with more players we would be available to play if one person has to work.
We use dungeon tiles and minis for combat and like strategic approaches to combat, but do not expect it every encounter and fun trumps reality.
We have some house rules, try to stay core books (for players), but we are open.

Biography:

I have been playing D&D since the late 80's I started with basic/1st ed then 2nd ed advanced. I have played 3 & 3.5. I prefer role playing and campaigns to single run combat heavy on a normal basis, but go with what the group and players want, and try to keep it fun and fresh. I have played Forgotten Realms, my own world, Dragon Lance, and Gray Hawk.
