What are you looking for?:

I'm looking to put together a group where I game-master the Hero/Fantasy Hero game, composed of four players (no more, no less!). These players can be of any age where they are independent and can get around on their own. I'm looking for players who will really focus on character conception, and have the interest level needed to learn about the world their characters will be living/adventuring in/through, such that the characters fit, and have some other purpose other than finding monsters to kill and items to flash around. Those will be present, of course, but the world I've created is full of intrigue, NPCs, intelligent monsters that might not be willing to fight to the death or wait to be found, etc. The characters actions will be noticed by guilds, factions, etc. If some group cleans out a dungeon full of goblins, the larger tribe/organization that the goblins belonged to or that might know about it will be concerned, and might put a price on their heads to prevent their own future destruction.

I'm looking to meet every weekend, four one four hour session at least, so that the plot moves along with regularity. Characters are to be created, and then left with me, such that if you cannot play, your character will become an NPC for the duration of the time you are absent. Notes on how your character should be played should be present. The actual time of the session is negotiable, weekend to weekend, although I'd prefer to find a mutually agreeable, regular time-sl

I've played D&D since I was about 10, making 27 years, but have also played RuneQuest, Traveller, Gamma World, Rolemaster, Champions/Hero/Fantasy Hero, and tons of card games, board games... I'm a gamer. I've not been playing for several years, but quite sick of linear, kill monsters for experience points games (computer or otherwise). I want real role-playing with unlimited options for the characters and the plot.
