What are you looking for?:
When it comes to different styles for a game, I pretty much fall in the middle on every axis. I like a mix of action and intrigue, of rolling and role-ing. Too much in a particular direction tends to feel more restrictive than inspiring. I much prefer adventure over other themes, in general, though again, a mix is best. A little horror, a little comedy, and little politics... Even though I'm signed on as a player, I'd be willing to run a game too.
I started officially role-playing back in the AOL chat rooms in the late 90s. My first pen-and-paper was D&D when 3E came out, and I did that almost exclusively for ten years. I try to have at least one game a week, as gaming is my biggest hobby. As a player, I do tend to enjoy the 'game' more than the 'role-playing.' I do my best to give my characters flavor, and play the game through them, but anything close to LARPing would be right out.
