Well said, DC. And Ice, you've explained the perspective of a well-read EU fan in a shockingly polite manner. For my part, I apologize for my drunken mini-tirade of a few nights ago. I just feel that so many of us old, bitter bastards have forgotten what drew us into Star Wars in the first...

My (cogent?!?) thought: I've never been more embarrassed to be a Star Wars fan than after reading that article. Sorry I can't do better (and for not having read the prior replies), but I'm way loaded. Star Wars is films. Anyone who isn't making a Star Wars film can sit the f down. Pardon my...

Time to breathe some life into this, since I think I finally nailed down a character.

Having finished the article I think I can sum up my thoughts fairly well on the save the EU movement: This is going the way of almost all internet protests. The thing with any movement is that it is made up of a large body of people with varying levels of rationality and eloquence, and often...

Ha! Do you know about the 'stop the presses' rule? Call it out here, and no one can post for 24 hours. After that, it's expired! ;)

I talked to him on Skype on the weekend. Evidently this site's reply notifications started going to his spam folder, but he said he'd come back and catch up, and see if he wants to make a final post. That said, I want to post and I'm gonna. It will probably be a few days before I can...

What are you looking for?:
I've only been living in the area about four years and I am really missing RPGing with a group and feel like I'm probably a little bit rusty. I don't really have any friends here (other than family and a few acquaintances that I know only from work) and feel that this might be a way of make some friends of my own. I am willing to learn any system and am fairly fast at picking up on new games.
About Me
Biography:
I'm from Kentucky and have more than 30 years of RPGing experience under my belt. I have played a number of games over the years and have enjoyed most of the ones that I have tried. I am 43 and don't mind hanging with all ages of people, both older and younger. I am married, have no children and my wife enjoys gaming too, but we are both a little bit out of practice. I like video games, drawing, reading, movies, Renaissance Faires (when we HAVE the money and time to attend them) and a list of other hobbies to long to really go into here.
