It now seems my inbox capacity is reduced. I'm spending time deleting hundreds of PMs so that I can PM my players, and so that they can PM me (because my inbox is maxed out). Would have loved to have just paid the $12 (or so?).

Are you guys having any trouble sending me PMs? It seems I've exceeded my PM limit (possibly reduced by me losing my 'supporter' status), so I can't even send anything out, and I'm being forced to delete lots of messages.

Aw man, the Smuggler book for EotE is rolling out now, and the Starlight-class freighter is in it. The Dawncaller flies again! "Missed it by that much..." :p

See, this is why DC hasn't joined us on the new forum yet IJ. You didn't mention him by name and now he feels left out. Here, I'll do it: Yo, DC you should totally come over to the new forums, they're rad.

Yeah, it was a custom. $12/year, pretty good trade for our own forum and a custom avatar. No need to re-up now, though!

So, my latest year's paid subscription to this site ends tomorrow. I've been trying to re-subscribe, but the site has changed and I can't figure out how to do it (and no one on the forums is enlightening me). So tomorrow, our forum (and my avatar !) might disappear. But our Group (encompassing...

Gotta necro this thread again, because my subscription ends in two days and Skunkape's method to re-subscribe described on page 1 doesn't work anymore. I see there's a 'contribution actions' button on the top navigation bar now, but it seems like it's just for general donations, and won't...

No reason not to! Although your characters' Description pages as well as the wiki on the new site would be great places for that type of thing as well.

I'm always getting story idea's, playing out scenarios and dialouge, but I've been super bad about committing them to any kind of paper or such. It doesn't help that they're usually about Reil and Cali, and I'm supposed to put them away for now make up some new characters. . .

Oh yeah, that got me too: if you just search Star Wars it isn't there, but there's a tiny link in the lower right that says "next 25". Hitting that once or twice brings us up. :p Anyway, glad you're there. Now send a 'Request to Join', from our game's Game Menu. I'm off to bed soon though, so I...

Hmm, it comes right up for me. Are you including the colon? Alternatively, you could skip the title altogether and search by system: 'Star Wars: Edge of the Empire' and it appears on the list, near the bottom.

Star Wars: the Next Big Thing. There's a 'browse/search games' button at the bottom of the main page - even just typing 'star wars' in there will get you a list. Just remember to un-check the 'games looking for new players' box, because we're technically not.

Just to clarify that last bit: when you register, you probably shouldn't use your character's name as your distinct username. This is because you then create a character within a game, and will post under that character's name in that game - nobody playing (or reading) knows what your actual...

And, our (extremely bare-bones) game forum is up on http://rpol.net. Just sign up there, search out our game, and send a request to join. Once you're in, you'll be able to create a character, write a description, choose your avatar, and post in GD. :)

Absentia Dementia. Okay, it's no secret that I've been largely incommunicado for a while. Behaviour unbecoming of a GM who's trying to whip up interest in a new campaign. My bad. Truth is, I've been in the midst of trying to make some major life-changes. Like, trying to have one. Used to have...

The commitments was an awesome movie. Star Wars would have been greatly improved if Luke took the time to interview himself every time the scene changed. . .

I don't really have a problem with the prequels, or (the various iterations of) the special editions. Hell, Lucas could make a new version of the SEs every year, and I might even buy 'em. But I feel he has an obligation and responsibility to preserve the originals, for posterity. I mean these are...

He just. . . puzzles me. I honestly can't think of a movie he's directed between the original Star Wars and the prequels, (though I know he worked heavily in the producer role), but he has said multiple times that Star Wars isn't his consuming passion, making movies is. But. . . he keeps making...

Lucas is also the person who went to congress to protest Ted Turner altering movies after their release, saying that movies should be preserved, actually to quote "People who alter or destroy works of art and our cultural heritage for profit or as an exercise of power are barbarians, and if the...

What are you looking for?:
I've only been living in the area about four years and I am really missing RPGing with a group and feel like I'm probably a little bit rusty. I don't really have any friends here (other than family and a few acquaintances that I know only from work) and feel that this might be a way of make some friends of my own. I am willing to learn any system and am fairly fast at picking up on new games.
About Me
Biography:
I'm from Kentucky and have more than 30 years of RPGing experience under my belt. I have played a number of games over the years and have enjoyed most of the ones that I have tried. I am 43 and don't mind hanging with all ages of people, both older and younger. I am married, have no children and my wife enjoys gaming too, but we are both a little bit out of practice. I like video games, drawing, reading, movies, Renaissance Faires (when we HAVE the money and time to attend them) and a list of other hobbies to long to really go into here.
