About Me
Biography
Have been playing D&D actively since 2006, though I played some 2e back in high school.
I'm extremely interested in patient players that are willing to have fun and relax while we play. I encourage "real" characters, and often allow customization of the rules as long as the intent is not for extreme min/maxing.
I'm an amateur fantasy novelist. However, unlike many others you meet who say that, I am pursuing writing as an actual career. I hold a BA in Fiction Writing and have been published multiple times and even won a notable Chicago based award for my short stories. I'm currently researching grad schools for an MFA in Creative Writing.
That having been said, I keep my "stories" in my writing, and not on the table. I am not the DM who has the "master story" in mind and will railroad my players constantly into it. I plan my games from session to session, and often end up improvising due to choices the characters make. I encourage my players to derail my plans, it adds to the challenge for myself and the overall experience.
