Looking for adult players for long-term, weekly D&D 4th edition campaigns. Looking for people who want to have fun, to explore, and to take part in interactive story-telling with other players and the GM. My group is losing some players soon, and I am looking to add a few more. I usually run my own game worlds with a few rules tweaks, I am an anti-munchkin and dislike power-gamers; I'd much rather see an interesting character than a set of numbers and feats with a thin veneer of character painted over them. Looking for people who can game fairly regularly (at least once every other week or more often). I am also interested in playing in a game if I can't get enough people to join mine, prefer 4th ed D&D with a good mix of fighting and role-playing. Ideally, I'd like to run a game and play in a game, if possible. I've been our group's main GM for many years, and don't get to play all that often.
About Me
Real Name:
Daniel Anderson
Biography:
I am 38 years old and have played some variety of D&D most of my life. I've played in a dozen or so campaigns, run a few dozen campaigns, and I am quite fond of 4th Edition. I have a Master's Degree and I teach school (so I'd prefer not to play with students, that's why I want adults). I run a weekly campaign that has changed many times over the years, but it's almost always Dungeons and Dragons. I've played just about every old system there is in fantasy, sci-fi, and horror, from Bureau 13 to Vampire to Cyberpunk. I prefer fantasy, love mysteries and horror games, and weird, fun encounters. I emphasize fun over rules, but also want balanced experiences for everyone. I roll my dice in the open and re-roll anything that doesn't wind up flat and not touching something. I design a lot of rules content for my games including new gods, feats, magic items, monsters (soooo many monsters), etc. Basically, I'm a creative gamer with time on my hands and I'm looking to do more with it.
