What are you looking for?:

I'm looking for a few more players for a custom setting I'm running in 4e D&D. It's been running since March 2009 and we have a good core group of 4 committed gamers but are looking to add up to two more. We meet every other Sunday from 11am-4pm around the Jefferson/Getz intersection. Generally lunch is either provided by my wife and I or we pool our money together for a pizza. Our current play style has a decent amount of combat intertwined with a lot of role playing, intrigue and mystery solving. A central theme to the campaign has been moral ambiguity, few people in the setting are completely good or bad. The game, for the most part, centers around the politics and cultural conflicts of the area.

What we're looking for in a player is someone willing to show up more sessions then not. Someone who enjoys the tactics of the combat system but also loves to roleplay in a world that's oftentimes not straight forward. You don't need to know 4e rules, though it will help, and in general if you're open minded and relaxed we'll help you out wherever you need it.

The playstyle of the party varies between the shades of neutral and good, characters should fit into this alignment. We joke around a lot and have no problem with characters having quirks, but characters should be basically realistic. In other words you could be a comedically lecherous old man but not someone who constantly feels the need to throw his pet chicken at people.

Biography:

I've enjoyed D&D based video games for a good 20 years and started actually playing the pen and paper games about 6 years ago. I've played D&D 3/3.5/4e, Star Wars Saga, Vampires, and a slew of more independent RPGs. I currently play in two games and DM a third bi-weekly.
