Burning Wheel is a gritty, character-driven alternative to D&D with deep character creation and a brutal combat system. My campaign will start in a fantasy world with humankind pitted against a beastial race of slavers known as the Vrolg. Players should come prepared for shaping the course of history: whether through politics and intrigue, unleashing forgotten magical arts or hacking a bloody swath of fame and glory with cold steel. I'm looking for mature players willing to commit one Saturday a month; experience with the system and sourcebooks are optional (I have extra books). No smoking, and I'm open to rotating hosting to cut down on commutes.

Biography:
I'm a veteran gamer who has played it all but have settled down lately. I started with AD&D and since then have played most of the White Wolf games, D&D 3 and 3.5, Call of Cthulhu, Deadlands, Whispering Vault, Middle Earth, DC Heroes, Castle Falkenstein, d20 Modern, Warhammer Fantasy and many other RPGs. I love board games and did go through a CCG phase a while back (Magic, LOFR, VTES, On the Edge, Shadowrun), but nothing beats role playing.
