- What are you looking for?:
- I am a GM running a campaign in the North St. Louis area from 6PM to 11PM (and sometimes a bit later) on Thursday nights. I am currently looking for a few brave souls to wander in an ancient world. We are commonly a roughly RP 75%, Combat 25% group with ages ranging from 25 to 30s, though anyone over 18 on the maturity scale is welcome.
We play a variety of games with both short and long campaigns. Our current campaign is a dark fantasy opera (with no singing). Players familiar with other RPGs can start with no knowledge of the homebrew world or system and get a character up and running in a few minutes.
The theme is post-vampire-apocalypse fantasy world, where a group of unlikely survivors are attempting to rescue others, gather power, and gather the knowledge needed to bring down the Lord of all Vampires and end the eclipse that has lasted for a thousand years.
Looking for a player who is consistent in attendance, clever or funny (gets bonus xp), and willing to lead when necessary, follow when helpful, and to develop a character so rich that he/she will backstab friends and foes alike for the good of the story.
About Me
- Biography:
- I'm a former professor of creative writing at a local university. My wife and I game out of our house with some old and some new friends. I'm early 30s with an eye towards long, sweeping campaigns (1-2 years), followed eventually by a second that might highlight the changes wrought in that world by the events that came before.
I once crucified every one of the players in my campaign. And upon the cross, as she was about to die, the weakest of the PCs had her girlfriend climb the cross to kiss her. The kiss was laced with poison.
Only one other player knew why.
This is why we come together to tell stories.
