When it comes to game groups the type of game played doesn't really matter as much as the group. I've been playing Dnd for 3? years now and have recently been expanding to
different games. Play style also has a bigger role in a group. There's no need to be over-zealous or outlandish. With a good imagination and a smidge of logic (no flying pigs with laser eyes, please, not again) it's hard to turn a game sour.

Biography:

My long-standing group started in 3.5 and switched to 4e when it came out. We try to play on weekends when we can, but they live a considerable distance away. Another group that used to
meet near home played a macabre of munchkin, UNO, d20 modern, DnD, and Cyberpunk. As a PC I tend to lean more towards the quirky characters than the white knight or mad wizard roles. My 3.5e master theif half-giant or tiny
sized, gnome, hulking hurler are examples. They're not meant to disturb game, just spice it up with some comedy. Either way, I'm someone that's willing to go with the group flow when it comes to most aspects of the game.
