What are you looking for?

I like a game that is a mix of combat and role play. I've rarely been the kind of player that sees charisma as the dump stat and love urban settings, but I also enjoy a good dungeon crawl. One problem that I have seen over the years with group role playing is that it almost always seems to exclude some people or focus exclusively on even just one or two. I appreciate DMs and groups that use forums and e-mail between sessions to execute role playing scenes and take care of dialogue that might not include all of the members of a group so that no one gets too bored during gaming sessions.

I also appreciate groups and DMs that are willing to step out of their comfort zone in terms of material and what they're willing to try. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't, but you never know unless you're willing to try things at least a couple of times (I don't think "once" gets the job done in this kind of game).

Biography

I have been playing DnD since 2nd Edition in high school. I have been playing 3.5 on and off since it was released. Scheduling conflicts prevented me from playing with my regular group for a long time, but I've recently gotten back into playing with an online chat group that meets once a week. I'm a huge fan and strong advocate of 3.5 psionics and love trying out new systems and splats.

I haven't yet played a 4.0 game, but I've familiarized myself with the system. While I think I probably still prefer 3.5, I'm willing to move on.
