Well it isn't really an either-or situation, more an "and-also", as people do the player/game-finder stuff and post their game in the forums, it's not spamming (unless of course it's spam) since that's what this site, PPG was originally known for, was connecting players, so a forum post and the...

I like the idea of stunt dice and stuff and WFRP3's dice pool idea seems a little like that, though I've not gotten to PLAY a game using the stunt dice stuff (Dragon Age, etc), but W's idea looks slightly more complex, as you say, you can have critical success and still have enormous setbacks,...

It is disappointing. I know adminning and stuff can be a lot of work, but just keeping things running doesn't seem like that much of an obligation. I can't truly judge another person's viewpoint I guess, and there are times when we make decisions or offers and are just wrong and things just didn't...

Interesting. I will try to download and read through it this coming week but having seen it once, I'm not sure how much use I'll be on the second go-through, unless it's really changed to my eyes, but I'll see what I can do, I'm kind of interested to see what changed. =)

Without knowing a specific setting, would you say this stuff can be converted USEFULLY to some other game, like if I ran Cthulhu Dark Ages or Warhammer or Dragon Age or a Savage Worlds fantasy game? Is there any point or is it really tied strongly to the setting? I love free stuff and lists and...

I ran feng Shui and Call of Cthulhu for a short time in a different forum, it went ok. I tried here but it didn't last four weeks and my players are drifted way. I did run Solomon Kane for Savage Worlds in here once a week in chat here for almost three years - chatroom is broken though now for the...

Someone started a chatzy one like the evil outcast Morashitar did, but it was a teensy bit more well received, but she had her own (to some) oddness, and a few of us just sorta keep in touch on FB and Skype, though some went to TheTangledWeb, I don't know how good it is there. I still mod here.

There's a post here and there, but I check in every few days and see less activity. Spammers are getting more numerous and making lots more posts, that I have to delete the posts and permaban them. The site is still usable and can do pbps and the individual forums for groups you make, and blogs and...

Interesting replies. I do hope you find others to also reply, since I'm just one person and as I said, I'm not really anyone's target demographic, but I like to think I know, at least a little, what I've read that's sometimes the "general wisdom" of a lot of gamers and their ideas, plus of course...

Firstly, this is not my type of game, I like simple, rules-lite (if I can get it) games with straight-forward and "localized" (one character) play, in most cases, so what I say should be taken in context of that. I'm just going to list the things that occur to me, confuse me, etc. You need a more...

Actually yeah I have looked at Dragon Age and it did immediately make me think too, that it would be a good alternate for Warhammer (I didn't realize the WFRP did it) and I like the stunt idea and such - I wondered why it seemed at least a tad similar to WFRP3. Rules lite is a huge selling point...

What are you looking for?:
I'm big on city adventures and intrigue and plans withing plans, but not exclusively. Not interested in anything zombie-centric or 'men in ships' Sci-Fi. Currently in online Pathfinder games: (Human Ranger/Fighter),(Human Druid/Fighter), (Human Sorcerer/Inquisitor/Fighter), (Human Magus/Rogue - Investigator). Starting to explore other systems. In a Shady Gulch/Coyote trail game (Lone Bountyhunter of the Apocalypse ) and Atomic Highway (Bartertowner Greaser with a proud NASCAR history). Would like to try The Chronicles of Future Earth (BRP).
About Me
I'm a late-40's Canuck with probably waaay too much time on his hands :). In year 2 of the re-union tour via after a 25 year hiatus from RL RPGing (due to a really crappy locale for gamer density/resources). I'm not mobile outside of walking distance so I'm limited to online play at this time. I've got Mirc, Skype, Maptool, OpenRPG and am willing to DL other software as needed. There are a bunch of us who play in various groups. Always looking for more. If you want references try looking the following folks up on PnPG games: Chrine, Apostate 2012, Layne, trialbyfireent, Gunhaven. All of these folks have sat at the same table as me for quite a length of time and know me best. Feel free to talk to any of them.
