That's way to far afield for me. I detest the existence of JJTrek and will stick with real Trek, but DS9 is my favorite of the entire franchise.

Hello Momo, I am starting an online Space 1889 steampunk campaign using the Savage Worlds system and the first session is this Sunday from 10am to 2pm Mountain time zone. You are more than welcome to join or lurk to see if you wish to join. It doesn't matter if you don't know the setting or the...

Yes welcome and hope you can find a game. There is the player finder on the site itself (never used it myself) and there are groups for some areas (I was surprised there was a Tulsa gaming group, near me). Best to you! If you have some ideas of the gaming you like, genres, systems, styles of play...

Those are some good ideas and observations, tireironmike. 1. When you say "hacks", do you mean people uploading their own houserules to a game so others can download them? 2. I think people always use many resources, and you can't be truly "loyal" to just one site when it's something...

I've been doing online chat or voice based gaming for years and I find it to be just as fun as tabletop. I've also been doing pbp for even longer, so any of the options work for me, but I am suspect of this Magical dohicky of which you speak.

Ha thanks. It was... up to it, it was good. That day - not so good. It happens. A few of us are at a different chat for specifically the chat portion which isn't working here, though the rest of the site seems intact and people still registering and posting and looking and finding groups and...

Yes he posted in this thread, and I posted about it in the mod forums as well. He said he'd contact Farcaster. *shrug*

I understand Ann, but don't sell online RPGs short, if you can't find a face to face game, my game will still be an option. :D

If you haven't, check out the Play Locator section and the LFG, etc, type posts, that might find people you're looking for, in your area. I don't know specifically of highly public games running right at the moment but you can never tell! Best of luck to you.

I've actually personally never used it. I've been of the mind that the "in person" games were dying out in favor of play-by-chat. Technology making it relatively easier for people to make games happen with NPC and map generators and not having to work out transportation for folks or feeding a horde...

What are you looking for?:
I'm big on city adventures and intrigue and plans withing plans, but not exclusively. Not interested in anything zombie-centric or 'men in ships' Sci-Fi. Currently in online Pathfinder games: (Human Ranger/Fighter),(Human Druid/Fighter), (Human Sorcerer/Inquisitor/Fighter), (Human Magus/Rogue - Investigator). Starting to explore other systems. In a Shady Gulch/Coyote trail game (Lone Bountyhunter of the Apocalypse ) and Atomic Highway (Bartertowner Greaser with a proud NASCAR history). Would like to try The Chronicles of Future Earth (BRP).
About Me
Biography:
I'm a late-40's Canuck with probably waaay too much time on his hands :). In year 2 of the re-union tour via after a 25 year hiatus from RL RPGing (due to a really crappy locale for gamer density/resources). I'm not mobile outside of walking distance so I'm limited to online play at this time. I've got Mirc, Skype, Maptool, OpenRPG and am willing to DL other software as needed. There are a bunch of us who play in various groups. Always looking for more. If you want references try looking the following folks up on PnPG games: Chrine, Apostate 2012, Layne, trialbyfireent, Gunhaven. All of these folks have sat at the same table as me for quite a length of time and know me best. Feel free to talk to any of them.
