What are you looking for?:

I'm pretty easy going, and enjoy new game systems, although I prefer systems that are reasonably rules light, but not so stripped down that they are too skeletal. I am open to genre of game, but not a fan of Power Gaming, or rules systems that pander to that style of play. I have a demanding job, so while I could generally be fairly reliable for weekly play, I would need a group with some degree of flexibility and willingness to miss the odd session (maybe one session every month or two might have to cancel or go without me)

Biography:

I haven't been active in RPGs since the early 1990s, but I would have to say that D&D is the game I have played most. I really enjoy GURPS more as a system, but the lack of commercial adventures (meaning writing ones own) is something I have always found discouraging about the system. I have recently played in a campaign that I had to drop out on due to work conflicts, but my job situation has changed again, so I am no longer traveling. Again, I really need to iterate that I am NOT a fan of power gaming (we called it min-maxing back in the day), or playing an RPG in the same style as one would approach a computerized RPG. I am a big advocate of playing an RPG like it is an RPG and not a video game without a console.
