What are you looking for?

I am trying to start a group that is interested in having one long-running game (preferably one of the Marvel RPGs) while also getting together to try some of the indie games that have been coming out in the last decade (Burning Wheel, In A Wicked Age...). There are also a lot of games that have been around for a very long time that I would like to try (Paranoia, Tekumel, Jorune, Tales from the Floating Vagabond...).

My preference is to explore with mature players who can focus and are willing to commit to attending unless something serious comes up.

I am a 41yo male and have been gaming since I was in 5th grade back with the old TSR box sets like Marvel Super Heroes, Gamma World, Boot Hill, Top Secret, and D&D. I went on to AD&D and played various games until my mid 20s but found that the people I was playing with mostly wanted to stick to AD&D so I slowly stopped playing and went to collecting. I got back in for a while with games like Cyberpunk and Earthdawn but it only lasted a while. Then came Amber and I was back in for quite a while. All along I have been both player and GM. I stuck to board games until the last few years during which I have made a few attempts to gather existing friends into an RPG group. Unfortunately many of them live a ways off and have other reasons that make regular gatherings challenging at best. Now I am starting over with the hope of finding people nearby that share my interests and making some new friends.
