What are you looking for?

I'd really like to find some Indie RPG fans out there playing stuff like Savage Worlds, Spirit of the Century, Burning Wheel, Mouseguard, Dogs in the Vineyard, Houses of the Blooded, etc. Though I play 4E, love classic D&D, 1st ed, 2nd ed. WoD, Rifts, GURPS, etc. etc.

I'm actually looking to expand the gaming group locally currently I'm playing in a fun 4E game and its going well. But as a recent transplant from Las Vegas who is used to having a large extended gaming group to draw from for players and DM/GMs (not to mention board games, Mini games like 40K and Warmachine, Video Games, LAN parties etc.) ... I'm hoping to re-establish that here. My gaming group and I have started up a message board for local (Clearfield-Ogden-Greater SLC area) gamers and I'm not trying to take away from P and P here. We aren't looking to make a player/DM finding site ... we are intent on forming a Northern Utah gaming club where we can discuss the local gaming community, maybe put on small locals events, etc. anyway the address is http://www.wasatchgamersclub.com/.

My earliest exposure to gaming was classic red box D&D in the 5th grade. My childhood was filled with C.S. Lewis and Tolkien so when I experienced D&D I was instantly in love and addicted. However I only had about a 2 to 3 year run of Basic D&D (classic red box) eventually girls, sports and booze would pull me away from gaming. I finally came to my senses and returned to games in 2000 at that time I came back to gaming via Warhammer and Warhammer 40K. I'm a board game fan and a fan of any good RPGing. I have a BA and a Masters, I'm married with 4 children, 34 ... happy gaming geek ... but not a stinky anti-social nerd. We have formed a gaming club that meets locally at the North Davis Library once a month ... we have about 20 members so far and are looking to grow it into a good area general gaming oriented club from RGPs to board games and mini games and everything in between ... check out http://www.wasatchgamersclub.com/ for more info!
