Hey folks!
Good to see you noodling around with this!
Jen and Danno - let's get you rolling some dice. It's pretty simple. Just hit "reply" to add a post. You'll notice an icon for a red d6 just above the text box, all the way to the right hand side. Simply click on the die and type in what you are rolling.
Let's say you have a fighter with a +5 to hit with his sword. You would type 1d20+5 into the space provided, and then hit "okay". You won't know the result of your roll until you send the post, but the fact that you rolled will show up in your dialogue box looking something like this:
open bracket=1d20+5 close braket open bracket /roll close bracket.
[I spelled out the brackets here because typing them as actual brackets would generate a roll, which is not something that I'm trying to do right now.]
Anyway, you can use the space between bracketed items to type in the type of action you are taking. That would generate the following:
* Swinging long sword at orc chieftan *
Give it a shot! It's easy!
Best,
Aldo
