My wife and I (31m/25f) would like to host a pathfinder game in a setting that I've been working on for awhile now. We are doing this to meet new people and make new friends, and welcome any players who think the same way. We host our games in our home, and we have a dog. Shes medium sized and doesn't cause any trouble, but if you can't stand dogs, beware. :)

The setting is a high fantasy setting in a unique world where the monstrous humanoid tribes rose up long ago forcing the civilized races to band together, and for 5 Enormous cities with huge walls they could use to protect themselves from the savage threat.

Now hundreds of years later, adventurers make their way exploring the ruins of the world left behind, protecting those who travel between the cities, and many other ways. In this world full of danger, a sword, bow, or spell can make you very rich, if you survive it.

I'm willing to be flexible on the theme of the campaign, but that's the world thus far. I won't be making a story until I know my players, so that I can make sure they all have fun.

My group and I are currently looking to try and add 1-3 more players to our group. We are all 30+ with jobs and/ or families. We each have at least 10 years of experience with the game (multiple versions, I have 20+ years in the game). We are hoping to add individuals who can play as well as DM. At some point we hope to allow another member to DM for a bit providing me the chance to relax into a PC role.
We are currently 5th level and are in a Forgotten Realms game set in Tethyr and its surrounding area. PHB race/ classes and Complete series Prestige Classes. Anything is possible but needs to be approved. I am not a grab anything from anywhere DM but hat style would be welcome under another DM should they decide to join us and run a campaign that opens all supplements.
We meet every other Saturday around noon for 4-8 hrs depending.

We play Sunday nights at my apartment in Rockville, which is within walking distance of metro and has plenty of parking.

The players are all adults and are very friendly, and we welcome mature players who are looking to relax and have a good time rolling dice, munching on snacks, and playing make believe. :)

We have been playing together as a group for just over a year, although this campaign started back in March. Sadly due to real life interferences, a couple of players have had to move on recently - so we are looking to fill those seats and bring some fresh personalities and ideas to the group. The current characters are a druid, fighter, and wizard (levels 2-3).

The campaign is focused on equal parts roleplaying and combat... maybe leaning slightly toward roleplaying. I'm looking to run several classic modules in the campaign, once the characters are of a level high enough to survive! Now is a great time to get in on this campaign. However one thing has drawn each of you for some time now. The city has a very expansive network of street fighters to compete in a federation ran by one Miles Newsome. Only by finding him and impressing him will you get the invite to join.
You get a letter taped to your door Friday June 6th 2013 it reads as follows.
Dearest (character name here),
Your presence is requested for a meeting involving matters the FBI are looking into. You can be assured you are in no legal trouble; in fact the bureau is requesting your help.
The meeting will be held tomorrow at 7:30 AM in the federal courthouse on Grant Ave.
Be ready by 6:30 AM!
You are picked up by five men in dark suits and a black SUV, Three SUV’s to be exact! At the Federal Court House You are quickly pulled out the car and put into an elevator and then escorted down a hall from the elevator doors on whatever floor you are on. You are taken into a meeting room with a few other people and handed a folder. Everyone else seems to be looking at their folder so you examine yours.
Inside is a Letter from a promoter and Six photos, Two of CIA Agent Tim Bowers, one of him when he was alive and one of him dead. The other four photos are of ATF agent Jason Newsome and DEA agent Derrick Osborne. Just like the other two photos they have a pair of life and death photos for each of the men.
The letter is addressed from one Joshua O’Malley to agents Bowers, Newsome, and Osborne.
It gives them a meeting time of 9:30 pm on June 1st, at the location they were last seen alive at for their second audition.

Each man was found in a different part of town, naked, with multiple bullet and stab wounds.

The story is a work in progress (Since I don't have the official book yet.) and I already have 3 players whom I've played multiple games with in the past. We have lost one or two people over time for different reasons and we're looking to get one more person on because four is a more rounded party.

Obviously the game won't start until mid July after the official books have been released but now seems to be a good time to look. I do have the PDF's of the beta so it would be possible to make a character or most of a character ahead of time.

We play on Sunday's usually from either 5 or 6:30 to whenever we feel like leaving (9:30 to 10:30 most days). The group is good for a laugh but we do focus on gameplay and try not to stray too much into other conversation.

During the summer in cities with significant college student populations, such as Norman and nearby cities, there are plenty of tabletop gamers but they scattered all over the place and have difficulty finding one another.

I'm trying to locate fellow southern Oklahoma tabletop roleplayers and gather us together into one or two gaming groups that can meet weekly or biweekly throughout the summer and onward.

We play superhero RPGs, cyber-pulp (not punk but pulp!) RPGs, space opera SFRPGs like Star Trek or Babylon 5, and both fantasy RPGs and D&Dish RPGs (imagine old skool dungeon crawls and genuine roleplay somehow in the same campaign).

During the summer in cities with significant college student populations, such as Norman and nearby cities, there are plenty of tabletop gamers but they scattered all over the place and have difficulty finding one another.

I'm trying to locate fellow southern Oklahoma tabletop roleplayers and gather us together into one or two gaming groups that can meet weekly or biweekly throughout the summer and onward.

We play superhero RPGs, cyber-pulp (not punk but pulp!) RPGs, space opera SFRPGs like Star Trek or Babylon 5, and both fantasy RPGs and D&Dish RPGs (imagine old skool dungeon crawls and genuine roleplay somehow in the same campaign).

I have been fortunate to find not only a good number of the core rule books, but also a few adventure modules for Rolemaster and MERP. For those of you unfamiliar with the system it is a great crunchy, flexible, character development rich rule set. Character design and uniqueness are really (surprisingly) unlimited <insert standard GM speech about employing common sense here>. Spell casters have a fantastic number of spell lists and spell available to them.... I mean 100's... no kidding. Fighter types have a great range of combat techniques and ways to tune their fighters for top performance. There are classic thieves with all of the expected thief abilities in addition to some new twists. There are also hybrid thief/fighters and thief/mages. There are many varieties of pure spell caster from 3 different realms of power and of course fighter/magic user hybrids such as rangers and paladins. There are tremendous magic items and its an awesome backdrop for questing.

The campaign is a first level starter which will build to epic/legendary adventures. Please note that even though the setting is Middle-Earth the campaign will not be following the books. There are many heroes in every age and many tales of legendary feats.

Please note that this is not an online campaign. I know that excludes a lot of really top notch gamers, but having run this system for many years I feel that if it isn't done around the table it just loses something in the translation.

Ive just started a new Shadowrun campaign on an online IRC channel. Its great fun so far. Anyone interested in a text based game are welcome.
The outline of the game is simple. Everyone starts out as a runner, they get hired by a runner agency with a Fixer and you go from there. As the game is running 24/7 what i love about IRC is that play can happen even if the GM's are not around. Players can just keep it simple, social play to help develop stronger bonds and alliances.

The over view of the game is this, Shadowrun 4th ED. Set in the dark streets of Seattle the life of a Shadowrunner is one of constant danger and thrills. The chance to make it big or die in horribly, what ever their reasons its not a life for the faint of heart. In the shadows of the Metroplex the Sin and the Sinless fight for right to control that will always be an illusion granted by corporate rule. Set in 2075.

We are a dice/sheet moderated game. We have our own custom BOT that rolls everything according to the Shadowrun rules, initiatives and edge.
