As it turns out, eInk isn't backlit. You need a light to read it. That means the entire reason I wanted it is invalid.
eReader.com has an eReader function that works on my G1 mobile phone. I downloaded it for free and saved about 300 dollars, and it does what I wanted it to do.
The very fact that it is not backlit is one of the reasons that it is much easier on your eyes. I think that is as much a design consideration as it was a technical one.
Yeah, you're probably right. But that doesn't make them work the way I want, though.
