Roberto, a 45 year old, strong, and battle-hardened ranger, knelt to the ground to check the tracks on the plain. Bolt, his eagle, fluttered her wings to maintain her perch on his leather-clad shoulder.
"Daylight wanes, and we still have yet to sight these giants," he pondered aloud. The other rangers gathered behind him. "There is no doubt they head toward the imperial town. These tracks prove it. But it is sorcery that keeps them from Bolt's eye."
One of the junior rangers, the axeman, stepped up. "Then we wait until the giants do their damage and return toward us?"
"No," warned Roberto. "If the giants return stronger than we left them, then we have failed in our duties. Invisible or no, we continue our hunt."
