  • Pen & Paper Games Gets Facelift

    Welcome to the latest and greatest edition of Pen & Paper Games. Unless this is your first visit here, you have no doubt noticed that a lot of things have changed – both in how things look and how they work. In fact, the core engine of our forums have been updated to an entirely new version of vBulletin, and along with that change, we've also packaged a number of improvements of our own.

    Over the next couple days, we'll post an announcement with an itemized list of some of the major changes. Until then, please feel free to poke around. You'll find enhancements in almost every section, including: member profiles, the player registry, the forum page, social groups, blogs, and even the chat room was updated to the most recent version of FlashChat. So, go forth and explore. If you find any problems -- as there are sure to be with any major deployment like this -- please fire off a PM to me and let me know.

      Maybe it is me - maybe I do not like change but the site/system now is very slow to load. Also a few things I was used to use have either been moved or are now gone.

      I haven't noticed any significant slow down when accessing the forums. Does this seem to happen sometimes, often or all the time?

      What features are you looking for that you cannot find now?

      Today the site/system loaded very quickly
      1. Trying to remember what the option was called - the HP or something --> it allowed you to access the forums that had been replied to from my posts.
      2. The count blog read count - how many people had read your blog.

      Note - I do like the colouring and the crispness of the site and the avatar change was cool but I see we are back to the old avatars (which is okay).

      I noticed that my crisp chaos picture is now a blur. Will this be remedied? See below.

      Note: This is not an issue for me, not one bit. Just thought i'd point out the observation. All in all, This site is the best site on the net, IMHO.
