  1. A Rendezvous on High Hill, the first Unquiet Lands adventure

by , 08-05-2011 at 07:39 AM (The Dungeon Master's Journal of the Unquiet Lands)
My idea, at least to start with, is to record some treasure, monster, NPC, or other detail from each of my completed adventures in The Unquiet Lands setting. I don't want to give away anything that's still part of the action, so any NPCs will either be deceased or otherwise out of the picture, for example. I also don't want to go over anything I've previously covered in the sub-forum, so please look there for general background information.

  2. Feinting in 4e D&D

    I just noticed this today.

    excerpt from the D&D PHB

    Bluff vs. Insight
Gain combat advantage: once per combat encounter, you try to gain combat advantage against an adjacent enemy by feinting. 3rd day of Kythorn
We claimed our money today for our work clearing out the bandits on the road south of Baldurs Gate and now have a enough money to head for Candlekeep. Diawin has agreed to go to the temple of Sune to try and find Miriam and speak with her about our imminent departure. The rest of us went our separate ways to make preparations for our journey. ...

    20th day of Mirtul

After dressing I stumbled out to find nourishment and another drink in order to properly start my day. Yesterday morning I was lost in the wilderness and this morning I found myself lost in the haphazard maze of streets named Baldur's Gate. The portal we moved through did not send us to the ...

  5. The Art of Racing Cows

So here I was, laboring under the delusion that 4e combat was just really slow paced. Then I talked to someone in chat the other day and found out that it's a lot faster than 3e , yikes, really? So last night I asked some of the guys who play in our game, who all used to play 3e, if this was indeed the case. It appears that it is. All I can say is, wow! Maybe time has partially erased or blurred my memories of how long combat should or did take in the other rpg's that I used to play. I don't ...
