The rules for the game are pretty much what is found in the books. I will be using Adventurer's vault, martial power, dmg, phb, mm, forgotten realms players and campaign guides, open grave, planar handbook and players handbook 2, Arcane Power.
For character generation use the point buy system in the phb page 17. You each get 22 points to buy abilities.
Available books for players: So far the phb, martial power, and forgotten realms players guides, adventurer's vault, phb 2, planar handbook, ...

The session began with Hockerbrecht getting to roll a d10 due to attaining 5th level as a fighter. He fared better than Weslocke did in the fact that he gained 3 more hit points.

For any of you playing 4th ed for the first time. make sure you pick up the player's handbook. None of the other books are necessary, with the possible exception of the new expantion books. Adventurer's vault is good if you want to plan out what kinds of goodies you character wants (called a wish list), and the Martial Power is a good one if you want some extra options for your martial type class (fighter, warlord, rogue, and rangers).

Alright, looks like I've had a strong response to my request for a game. I did a player search and emailed all of them at once, nice website I must say.
For those of you just getting into this area the new game (11 Jan 09) will take place somewhere in the Forgotten realms and be 4th edition rules. I will try my best to balance role playing and combat situations but anyone playing (and reading) will find that I do tend to stray a little more on the combat side.
