Here's a fun little thread where the purpose it to derail the last posters comments. Just so we're clear, you're not to argue, correct, or even to criticize others thread, but to completely derail it by jumping subjects. Be as outragous as you like.

Okay, to be extra clear: It really doesnt matter if you agree or not. You're disregarding it to such a point as to switch subjects, eg/ie threadjack. Even better, make profound statements when adding in your two duckets. The more ludicrous, proposterous, and outlandish, the better.

I'll begin: It's a fact that 1E is the best version of DnD ever created. The only reason others dislike it is due to their lack of creativity, no doubt due to fast food diets

The only solution: Grapefruit Diet~!

"Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Throw out the pizza and beer
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Oh, get those jelly donuts out of here
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Might seem a little severe
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
I'm gettin' tired of my big fat rear"

Oh, that Al, looking out for the nation's health since 1999. Somebody call Congress; I hear the Surgeon General position's still open.

Came across a Spanish learning site today that looked promising. Here's a short blurb in their advertisement: Amazingly, With These Patterns You Will Be Able To Take 138 Words And Make Over 88,000 Spanish Phrases And Sentences.

I'm seeing some potential here. In fact, not only will i give it a try, i'll get back to you all on its effectiveness.

Heck, why shouldnt i learn yet another language? My Intelligence stat allows for a few more languages. Think i'll work on Spanish, as well as continuing with Cantanese and Mandarin.

jade von delioch

That sounds great, but your a D&D character- everyone knows that you only need common since everyone speaks it. personaly, i think spanish is an ugly language, you should learn Chinese instead since the future (firefly) tells us that we will all be speaking a mix of english and chinese anyway.

I remember this japanese cartoon series in the late 1970's. It was about a giant meteor beyond Pluto in a collison course with earth. So all the earths governments hook up giant jumper cables to start up a space ship that looks exactly like a navy carrier. Well, long story short, this carrier flies through our system, fighting aliens and such, all the way. Only problem, to this day, i cant remember the name of this cool cartoon series. Any help?

Why do they sell shampoo + Body wash in the same bottle? Don't they realize they're losing money? I thought that's why we didn't already sell them that way. I wasn't aware we were waiting for the scientific breakthrough that would allow us to contain both substances in the same bottle...

Arch Lich Thoth-Amon
04-10-2009, 11:12 AM
Do they lose money? I dont know. I figured the formulation for combining the two was cheap. Heck, i wouldnt be surprised if there is nothing different about it than shampoo, and folks just bought into the marketing. Dunno. Food for thought.

Soft Serve

My favorite car to drive is a vette. Probably why i own one.

Funny story: When i moved to be closer to my relatives. I was parked in front of my brother's place. His neighbor came by and asked about my vette.
Brother: It's my brother's vette.
Neighbor: He must be single.
Brother: Why would you say that?
Neighbor: Because no wife would allow her husband to own a vette.

Started a game up in high school called ninja wars. Basically, we grouped in teams and tried to take out the other team in the forest at night. There were different ways to win, one being a 5 second pin or a give up. Now with the give up, you beat the crap out of major muscle areas till they gave up. There were other ways, but it was very popular. Ah, good times.

"This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down." -Golem

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding, but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend;
If you pardon, we will mend.
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearnéd luck,
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long:
Else the Puck a liar call.
So good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.

Nice. Here's another: It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

One after one by the star-dogged moon,
Too quick for groan or sigh
Each turned his face with a ghastly pang
And cursed me with his eye
Four times fifty living men
(and I heard nor sigh nor groan)
With heavy thump, a lifeless lump,
They dropped down one by one.

Very cool. Here's another: Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.
