Do you mean find a DM to run a game for you...

Find a group to play with or...

You are a DM looking for a group?

He's asking how to play by himself I think. Group free. If that's the case Devil, then this link may be of some use to you. http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=9204

Alternatively, if I'm wrong, and you want to play with people, the player registry (located in the dark grey bar near the top of the board) will help you find players near you to put a group together. The final option, is to use the campaign invitations board http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17 either to seek out campaigns being planned in your area/already running, or to start up your own and try to gather players.

If your willing to try online gaming, there are multiple online campaigns that use the chat room, two of which I DM personally, and I know of at least 3 others that run as well. A little time spent looking and I guarantee you that you could at least get yourself an online game if nothing else.

Glancing at your profile I can see why you asked for help, I don't know of many players here that are in the UK, good luck my friend, I hope you find happy gaming. (or horror or tragedy, or whatever sort of gaming your looking for lol)

Well you was right Lucian, thanks for the post, that helped me, I would also like to learn what software do you use to run online games?

I've used OpenRPG for years, since 2005. It has a basic map tool, chat interface, and built in dice roller functions, with the capability to store XML text files as "Character sheets", and it is free.

www.openrpg.com/ (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/www.openrpg.com/)

I've also used GRiP Traveller (By Quicklink Interactive), though that software is buggy, and the company CEO no longer maintains it, or supports it.

Finally, I use the chat room here, (no map, but has very basic dice functions) backed up by character sheets from Tangled Web or other sites.

In the past, before they shut it down, I used the WOTC Chat rooms...before 4th edition D&D Was launched....sadly those rooms are long gone, monthsna dmonths ago. I did a lot of games there, also.

Try some of these...There are some free, and some on a pay / license basis:

Best known being:

http://www.fantasygrounds.com (http://www.fantasygrounds.com/)

http://www.kloogeinc.com/ (http://www.kloogeinc.com/)

Some people use software called Screenmonkey.

There are a few decent choices.

I don't know a great lot about WOD but if your looking for a Cthulhu based online game with a rules light setting I'm running one every now and again.

I say every now and again cause it has basically no players and no regular schedule...
