Imagine a city almost destroyed by the Great Cataclysm, sealing itself from the surrounding world for 400 years.

Imagine the first adventuring groups bold enough to venture beyond the safety of the city walls.

Imagine what they find outside…

Interested?

An established multiple-group 3.5 D&D chat-based game based in a single meta-world is opening its ranks to new, mature players. Several groups are already playing and new ones are forming. Time slots are quite flexible. You get all the materials you need for play. Experienced players without chat-based gaming experience are most welcome.

Sounds good?

To learn more, send me an email to: joinseekers@yahoo.com (joinseekers@yahoo.com)

In the email provide the following:

- first name
- last name
- year of birth (don't send full date of birth please, send year only)
- state (if US) or country (if not)
- Tell us a bit about yourself. A few sentences.
- D&D experience (if none, then explain your interest in it)
- Style of gaming (roleplay vs. combat)
- Favorite character

interesting. unfortunately i don't have the time to sync schedules for a chat based. i'm pretty much stuck with play-by-post for the time being. remind me again towards the end of november and i'll reassess. =D

Interesting concept. Somewhat reminiscent of the beginning of Fallout or Paranoia's "Alpha Complex".

I'll post some common Q&A related to the game.

What books are allowed?
While no books are required (since the game uses open source materials), many books are allowed.
All Complete books and some other expansion books are allowed, although some of the rarest races, classes, prestige classes etc. are defined as “potentially available” and need to be discovered in the game world in order to become actually available to the players. From time to time additional materials are added upon the request of players.

Same questions, AND, when you say online dungeons and dragons, surely you dont mean DDO... I assume you mean an email-pbpesque game?

I have never played DND online but I am game if you are willing to work with a newbie. I have also never played 4e I have only played 2e. Contact me if you are interested. I will probably need help character creation and other like rules since I have never played 3.5 or anything other than 2.0. I hear things are really different from 2.0.

With 2 more DMs added to our cadre we can now resume new player applications to Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening games. So email me at joinseekers@yahoo.com and tell me about yourself, D&D experience, style of gaming and favorite chatacter.

We're also on the look for additional DMs for 2-hour weekly games. You need to be fairly experienced, with focus on roleplaying and storytelling. Chat game experience isn't a must, we'll train you.

I let this thread go cold because we were absorbing a big chunk of new players.

Now that we've done that we're ready to continue expanding. We have 3 new DMs planning a campaign. Each campaign is a 2-hour weekly slot. As usual all campaigns are linked by the same meta-world, and have the theme of discovering lost knowledge.

Some of the DMs are willing to accept players with little or no DM experience. There's one DM who is opening a 100% focused psionic campaign. This will be a first to our game, lets see if players like it.

To learn more, send me an email to: joinseekers@yahoo.com (joinseekers@yahoo.com)
Your application should include details about yourself, year of birth, state (if US) or country (if not), d&d experience, gaming style (combat-oriented? roleplay-oriented? Both are catered for in our game), and favorite character.

Friday campaign currently closed.

We have one campaign starting, time slot is Saturday 9 AM Pacific (noon Eastern time), with several openings. 2 hours weekly session. Style of gaming mixes roleplay and combat.

We also have another campaign planned, time slot not yet determined but should be non-weekend, evening slot. This one is for highly experienced players mostly interested in roleplay, puzzle solving and intrigue.

As always, apply to joinseekers@yahoo.com with the following details:

- first name
- last name
- year of birth (don't send data of birth please, send year only)
- state (if US) or country (if not)
- Tell us a bit about yourself. A few sentences.
- D&D experience

Hi folks,

We're also looking into opening a new campaign for highly experienced players who are mostly interested in intrigue, roleplaying and puzzle solving and less in hack & slash. It will take a couple of months to assemble a team but if you see yourself a worthy candidate, email as per the instructions above.

joinseekers

The Monday group is fairly advanced; most of the players are DMs in other groups. There might be an opening for a player with DMing potential - that is to say, someone with (1) DMing experience and (2) willingness to DM after a few months of playing.

As a reminder, each slot is 2 weekly hours. So DMing means a commitment to 2 hours per week + the necessary prep work. DMs are entitled to join our Staff, and get voting rights on content as well as access to restricted areas in the forum. As a DM you chose your own time slot, get players assigned, and launch your campaign within our meta-world. As mentioned above, you can DM in one group and play in another if you have the time.

If this is relevant, email me (see beginning of thread).

We currently got a place for a highly experienced player, Thursday 6 PM Pacific time every week. Also a couple of openings for mid-level experienced players for Friday same time and Saturday 9 AM Pacific. Finally, we are considering a Sunday 10:30 AM Pacific game for players with little or no experience, but with a strong interest in chat-based D&D.

All games are 2 hours weekly slot. Application instructions are in the first post in this thread.

We have a new campaign brewing, level 1 start. Tuesday 6-8 PM Pacific.
It is suitable for players with little experience or those who want to start a fresh character. The setting is a desert region, 1001 nights type campaign. Look at the first post in this thread for email and details of what to send.

We've got an opening in our Saturday noon Pacific game. As it's a relatively high level game, you must be a seasoned player. We also ask that you'll be generally willing to DM at some point in the future (even if you don't have DMing experience - that's fine). Not in the next 18 months as we just started a new chapter in the campaign. But - we prefer players who can potentially grow to become DMs. Email me (joinseekers@yahoo.com)
