Demonweb has something not seen since the Wardrums set: a pair of large miniatures of the same race. Back then, it was Hill Giants. This time, it's Ogres.

All things Demonweb, i am a fan of, ...and i really want to like these Ogres, i really do. Perhaps 20 years ago, perhaps even 10 years ago these would have been fine, but now-a-days there are so many miniatures that have raised the bar, that these just dont reach that bar.

Perhaps it is because they look like a mash-up of an orc and a caveman. While the Ogre concept in RPG's has long been based on a stylized misconception of what Neandertals or a caveman looked like, and this seems to have been lost in this particular case. Also, the green skin and fangs just makes them look like over-grown Orcs. Kinda like they got "Hulk"-ed up a bit.

Yes, first impression i got were that they were Orcs(and i wasnt happy at that). Only when i reread the blurb did i realize that i was mistaken, and they were Ogres(still not happy, not one bit). Oh well, guess you cant please everyone, especially me: a 30+ year veteran of the game.
