D&D 4th ED GM Looking For Players - Held Weekly in Morrisville/Yardley/Jamison PA Area
Campaign Introduction
For you, times are good. Tales of war and famine from the Shattered Age are now little more than fables told to children, their legacy slowly fading with the passage of every star-filled night. The streets are abuzz with news of the recent coronation of King Luvidahl the Evenhand, and hopes are running high in anticipation of a prosperous new era.
You find yourself situated in the local tavern of Rivermeet, staring into the depths of a stein of mead, lost in thought while watching the sediment slowly descend out of sight to the bottom of the earthen vessel. Your attention shifts to a folded sheet of parchment laying on the table before you; one edge, cracked open along a cleanly broken wax seal. As you mull over the contents of the letter and contemplate its consequence, your eyes are caught by a similar looking letter laying on the table adjacent to you. The tables occupant is visibly locked in thought as you just were a second ago.
And so the adventure begins.
GM Looking For Players
I am running a weekly AD&D 4E campaign in the Jamison or Yardley area depending on which is more convenient for the group. The setting will be a customized mid-magic world, that primarily adheres to the setup described in the PHB.

Jamison general Google Maps link (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=jamison,+pa&ie=UTF8&z=13&iwloc=addr)
Everyone in the group so far has a standard 9 to 5 job, so playing sessions will probably be limited to 4-6 hours on the weekends unless otherwise agreed upon. A tabletop RPG background is preferred but not required. In general everyone in the group is laid back but we would like to make effective use of the playing time we do get.
Please send me an email at revenge.cc@gmail.com if you are interested.
Players/GM Background Information:
Our group has a diverse background with roots in online and P&P roleplaying ranging from Everquest and Wow, to Shadowrun and AD&D. In general the members are very laid back, and are simply looking to the campaign as another outlet for intrigue and fun. With that said, we all value our time, and each of us carved out a part of our day to play the game, so prospective players need to be reasonably prompt, and willing to make the group a priority; consequentally anyone who joins can expect the same in kind.
Our goal first and foremost is to have fun. The campaign will be based primary on a AD&D setting and while rules are important, many are open to interpretation, so expect a few house rules to be agreed upon by committee. Alignment, race, gender, age and class choices are all open (with only a couple exceptions), and since it is a choice players are expected not to used it as a crutch, matter of convenience, or excuse for "douche-baggery." The world and campaign is expected to be fleshed out and influenced by the players over a prolonged period of time; so while the game is intended to be a balance of hack-n-slash action, and roleplaying, players are expected to generate/play a well thought out character with a colorful background. Similarly, metagaming is expected to be kept to a minimum.
Going with a AD&D 3.5 or 4E ruleset is still to be decided, and will be the first things up for discussion as soon as we have a full roster. Three of us have play-tested a campaign using the 4E rules which will prove useful in this discussion.
Thanks,
