Greetings,

We are seeking 1 or 2 new players for our Ithoria campaign (http://www.ithoria.com/). We're a casual gaming group that normally plays on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, and enjoys having a relaxing good time with each other. We roleplay, we fight, and sometimes we mix up the ratios depending on our collective moods.

Hey, bad weeks at work sometimes get better with some good minion-slaughtering!

We have or have had techies, accountants, weightlifters, and sometimes even beer salesmen in our group - all professions are welcome. We're coed, too, so we all shower regularly to avoid embarassment.

Drug free environment - we're not abolitionists so a drink here or there is plenty fine.

I suppose you'll want to know about the world next but maybe the URL was hard to click. You're in luck! Here's an excerpt from the Player's Guide to whet your appetite:

The campaign will start in the lower Arrowhead Mountains region located in the central part of the Umbrian Basin. Queenstown and Feyria, home to the Aolani, are towards the south, as are the Shadowlands of the Sha’ir and the shadowy Divided Mountains. To the southeast past Feyria lie the lands of the Yellow Horn orcs, who are savage but still highly respectful of nature. The Arrowhead Mountains, home to the ibixians, stretch out far to the north. Somewhere far to the west, across the mountains, is the small theocratic human principality of Ballánce, the last major surviving human government in modern times. Far to the east along the overgrown remnants of the Queen’s Road eventually lies the remnants of Carth Cordelia, which was destroyed in the Shadow Wars while occupied by the forces of the Last Emperor’s Advisor, Narad. Northwest of the Arrowhead Mountains lies the remains of Carth Umbria, the former capitol of the Kingdom of Umbria, destroyed finally by Parisha and Methkarten, existing now as a city of perpetual flame and rumored demonic inhabitants.

The known world is a dark place with the light of human civilization fluttering dangerously. After the fall of the Last Emperor, the ibixians, Aolani, Silvani, and Loreani all headed back home, having suffered greatly in the Shadow Wars. The humans and halflings who remained in the former lands of the Empire of Godrick were left in a power vacuum, and fell to chaos and petty warfare almost immediately. Many evil Dragon Lords commanded their followers to encourage this chaos, and the metallic dragon lords suffered from a lack of competitive power due to the absence of the Silver Dragon Lord, Nimbus.

Eventually Nimbus was found and freed during the events leading up to the Outlands War, but not before Asmodeus had started using Ithoria as a staging point for his attempts at multiversal conquest. Asmodeus was defeated but managed to ascend, and Ithoria still bears the scars of this extraplanar conflict in the form of barren regions and roaming legions of devils. The Dragon Lords now fight each other as well as these legions of devils, and frequently the so called "lesser races" of humans, halflings, and elves pay the price of these destructive battles.

Modern politics in the Umbrian Basin consist of hundreds, if not thousands, of local warlords and nobles fighting petty wars over land, resources, and power. A few attempt to hold up the values of the Umbrian Dynasty, and a few feel that defeating the Last Emperor was a significant mistake and dream of restoring the Empire. Most are simply fighting for survival.

So there you have it. If you're nearby and interested, drop me a line. See you soon!
