View Full Version : Threats vs MM

This is really a conversion question for going between D&D 4e. and Saga, but the new Threats book is a great way to demonstrate it. How does the crossover work between the two systems? Threats has the new D&D emblem on the back, but it's the same basic system as D&D 4. Does this mean that Saga is compatible with both "old" and "new" d20 products? Or with neither?

I'm going to have to say neither.

I was curious as to how character creation was handled in 4e until i made my choice but it is fundamentally different from Saga that he two are NOT compatible.

Especially concerning NPCs/Monsters. The creation of NPCs in Saga is almost identical to the creation of PCs. But the creation of monsters in 4e is fundamentally different from the way PCs are created in 4e. So yet again they are not compatible. In 4e you pick and choos the abilities you want for a monster/NPC, essentially.

Even though Threats may be the MM for Saga (and I do hope they make more volumes) I don't see much compatibility.
