Looks like Amazon will have the best deals by far, but you'll get the books much faster through a gaming store. As I recall, Amazon announced dates for the 3.0 books that were well in advance of anything Wizards promised, and claimed later that the delay was Wizards' fault.

Hmm.. That I cannot say. I've ordered many supplements through Amazon from Wizards and often they were on their way and shipping before the official release date. Often they arrived on my doorstep the same or next day after the release. But, I'll grant you that a far larger number of people will be ordering these than the typical supplement.

Either way, I'm not in so much of a hurry to get my hands on it that I can't wait a few extra days.

I grabbed the collector's edition a couple months back from Amazon for less than sixty bucks. Its nice to see that they discounted it again. My listed shipping date is this Friday so I'll probably get the books sometime next week.

Fifty-seven bucks seems like a small investment for the new edition. I think my friends and I are going to divide up the supplements and purchase them so that we don't have to spend much money on the game. That is of course if the new system is worth it. I liked Saga Edition so I'll probably enjoy 4th edition as well.

I can't believe I just did that. I ordered 4th ed. For my son, mind you, but I put it on my plastic and am having it sent to the house. He is so gullible.
