Who's played Shadowrun? I keep hearing stuff about it, but never knew anyone who played. I'm thinking of picking up the books to check it out.

i've played shadowrun 1st and 2nd edtion, none of the later editions, and i had a blast. i enjoy the setting, the back story and the general ambiance of the game. it lends itself well to the "down and dirty, nasty and brutal" gaming style i prefer. even if you dont play, the books are a good read.

Yeah, the stuff I'd seen so far lead me to think I'd enjoy it. I listen to the 'fear the boot' cast, and they mention it all the time. And system description seems easy enough as well.
