Controversial Book

Since the print press hasn't been invented, what magical means are being used to make so many copies?

In my campaigns, the lack of a printing press (or mages wanting to serve as Xerox machines) is what makes particular works worth so very much. There may be only a handful of copies of a particular book or perhaps only one. Thus, even books can be treasure.
