Spent a bit of time reading the forum and thought it was a good fit for me so I registered and was instructed to introduce myself.

My first experience with gaming was my last year in college. One of the guys from the Drama dept. invited me to join a group of the guys one Friday night. Was not what I expected to say the least! They helped me make a fighter character and promptly killed him off, but I had a blast, and no drugs or alcohol. This went on for about a month, (actually two and a half lol) when one of the guys took me aside and said I should drop the group and join him in another one. It was a Traveler group. The first three characters all died that first night, before we even started to play. Somehow we managed to cheat our way through to a finished character.

Anyway, over the years I have come to enjoy RP as perhaps my favorite hobby, but I now tend to lean towards the GM side rather than the playing part.

Another aspect I have come to enjoy is the miniatures and terrain that one can use to enhance the game. I have way too many minis setting around primed but not painted, and the list of unfinished terrain and buildings ideas is growing rather large.

At some point in the hopefully not too distant future I hope to put out the flier for one or two new players to join our group. Currently, besides my wife, we have one couple and another man.

Thanks Tesral, I do have a good deal of xp but I tend to go in spurts. Being married sort of interrupts my hobbies, as my wife is not as invested as I am and her priorities have not always been mine.

Our last group sort of put things on hold as my computer died, then the next week I had eye surgery and then a week later ended up in the hospital. I am feeling better now and am again chomping on the bit to get rolling again. My terrain and mini painting will have to wait a bit longer.

I have been fortunate in that wives have been as geeky gamers as myself.

Sue was in my Sanctum showing off her latest model horse. I have my minis. We both have computers. She is active in my hobbies and I in hers. That said we don't live connected at the hip. She has her belly dance night and I have my Friday gaming. We're old marrieds and happy with it.

Hello and welcome. It appears that you already have a good start for a group. If you haven't already done so, post your campaign on the campaign invitations. You might get more inquiries than by just having a mention here in your introduction. Good gaming to you.
