Hello,
I myself used to play a ALOT... 23 years ago... D&D basic, AD&D 1e, Steve Jackson games (just name any i.e. Carwars, GURPS), Traveller, Top Secret... and this list goes on. Over time I have played from time to time but less and less frequently. I have all my old games and books (even the figures). Now my son (turning 14 next month) has found these and is very interested in learning to play. I am constantly asked to DM, but he doesn't know anyone in the area who plays and FRANKLY, I have lost the feel for the game... I desire to locate a group of players who can provide a good gaming experience and properly expose him to this wonderful world (and who knows, perhaps bring me back to it as well).

L1FRDOG,
Deeds, Not Words!

Hello and welcome. Check out the Player Registry and Campaign Invitations sections of the site. If you have other questions, post them on the boards. There are several knowledgable people on here. Good luck with your search.

An unusual postion. Looking for someone else. Well I would invite him in, but the commute is a killer.

there is also the online and play-by-post options... but if you have all those goodies, then you likely really want an in-person group if at all possible. ^^ good luck!

Welcome aboard!
I have yet to get my children into gaming. The older ones are girls, and not very interested. I played with a father/son combo a short while ago... his son was also 14. They were great!
For finding players the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php) is a terrific tool and for recruiting players as a DM the Campaign Invitations (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum is perfect. Feel free to join in the discussions. I wish you the best of luck in your search!
