Hi, my name is Michael and I'm looking for a game to join. I live in the Petersburg, Va area, but would also be willing to join an online game. I know how to play AD&D system but would like to try out the Star Wars D20 system. I am looking to play at least one time a week, hopefully twice a week. I have always enjoyed the Dragonlance fantasy books, and think it would cool to play a game in that setting.

There is AD&D (2e) game settings in the Dragonlance setting. They will be considered rather old since 3.5 has been out for a while and 4e is coming out this year. Good luck in your game search.

I love the Dragonlance novels, playing in that setting much less. I suggest one of each a week: game of Saga edition SW, game of 4e D&D, and a horror/dark future game of your choice.
For finding players the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php) is a terrific tool and for recruiting players as a DM the Campaign Invitations (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum is perfect. I'd suggest offering to DM the Star Wars D20 system. I want to play it myself and so does a friend of mine. In fact that was going to be his first major campaign but his girl wanted to do D&D so he made it that way for her and the rest of us followed along. That was a good decision on his part...

Anyway. I do have room in my life for an online campaign and I believe OpenRPG should run it so if you were to set up a campaign...

well I'd help you just to run the system but I cannot promise to stay with it for more then a couple of months...

anyway contact me if you want. I already have OpenRPG installed on Windows XP and Windows Vista. I have not put it on my Linux Operating System but I expect it will run best on it anyway and now that my laptop is Linux too well...

I'm going to be starting a SW d20 game in the very near future. it will be set in the time period just after the 3rd movie and the 4th movie. closer to the 3rd on. as with this one can be force sensitive but no jedis. our group is looking for at least 2 more player to join. please contact me for more info.
