...and i play classic tabletop RPGs, via OpenRPG.

I play 6 days a week, which sounds pretty crazy, but i'm a stay-at-home mom, and it's
really the only way do do it 24+ hours a week and *not* neglect my
kids. When it's text you can easily walk away for a few minutes and
make dinner or change a diaper, yk? And being home, i don't have to
worry about finding a babysitter or letting my three kids run around
and destroy some poor college guy's apartment (tried it once, they got
bored, then they got loud, and the neighbors called the cops. Ha.)

Wow, i'm really rambling...umm...i play Palladium Fantasy, Heroes
Unlimited, Rifts, Nightbane, Beyond the Supernatural, TMNT, and
Robotech. Basically, everything published by Palladium Books, though
i hate the company (that tells you how much i like the games that i
play anyway, haha) due to recent disillusionment, resulting in loss
of fanboydom. Umm...i've played Mage a few times too, but i totally
do NOT get WoD. I'm putting in a good effort though.

Hippie,

Welcome to Pen & Paper Games. If you have a campaign that you are recruiting for, you should also consider posting it in the Campaign Invitations section, which you can access by going to the link on the navigation bar: Player Registry->Find Games (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17).

Happy Hunting!

Welcome Hippie Mama

Hope you find it nice and comfy here. We're always delighted to welcome women around : like in RPGs in general there's a little gender unbalance on the board :)

Awesome; we've got a buddy recovering from a pretty major surgery, but once we get our schedule ironed back out, i'll be sure to start recruiting. ;)

You know...i think there are a lot more ladies gaming than anyone thinks. They're just not so concerned about making themselves heard on message boards. *sigh* And they don't necessarily call themselves "gamers." I've got an old friend from highschool that i ran into awhile back; i told her about my current hobby, and she mentioned that she plays Runequest on occasion. I told her she was a gamer. So she decided she may as well give the pencil and paper type a try. So far she's loving it! :D
