Hey everyone. My name is Mark "Thayan" Reed, some may know me, Probably not. I host the Groovecast podcast and am a ig fan of online gaming.
I am planning a Weekly Call of Cthulhu game (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=379576#) using a modified Chaosium mechanics. The plan is to run Games (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=379576#) Every Saturday from 11am to 3pm CST. (Give or take an hour either way)
If interested please email me at groovecast@gmail.com or you can contact me via Skype at thayan2 Or feel free to visit forums.heroic-journey.net where I am setting up a forum to serve as a kind of Hub for players. I only want a total of four players, but the premise allows for a rotation of people so if your interested in joining I have room.

Welcome to the community! For finding players the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php) is an invaluable tool and for recruiting players as a DM the Campaign Invitations (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum is perfect. Please join us in on any of the various topics being discussed in the forums. For best results taking the initiative to contact players in your area should greatly increase your chances of finding others to game with. Many players are in groups that have openings but since they aren't the GM they don't go out of their way to recruit new players for the game. I wish you the best of luck in finding gaming bliss in the near future.

Hello and welcome aboard. If you post your game on the campaign invitations forum, people can contact you directly on this site and you don't have to have your email address in your post. Also, if your into online gaming, there is another member from Florida, nijineko, that will probably contact you.

Thank you all for the warm invite. Yes I am into Online Gaming so much so I have been doing a podcast for awhile on the subject. I dont want to be caught advertising so I will be happy to send a link to anyone interested.
The following is my Gamer resume so to speak. Feel free to be underwhelmed...:)
1989
I was introduced to AD&D. I played a wizard, pre-gen which died in a boulder/rock slide. I had NO idea what was going on but knew I found something which I loved.
1990-95
These were my formulative years in Role Playing. I was introduced to Marvel Super Hero's, My favorite character creation game EVER. No offense Jerry, but MSH had a quirky System which was awesome, unless you got water breathing and had to wear the fishbowl at parties. This also saw TMNT, Robotech and palladium rear its head in my life. Add in Rollmaster, Middle earth and a smattering of DnD spin offs including Dark Sun, Spelljammer, and Birthright, and you begin to see the growth of my gaming. I was also introduced to some Star Trek Gaming which I to this day shy away from.
1996-2000
This is where I found the various WW games and fell into Werewolf for a bit. I also was found by shadowrun and my eventual favorite Call of Cthulhu. There was not a LOT of gaming during this part but I got introduced to some new games and expanded my interests. This also saw the early stages of my PbP gaming as some early E-Wrestling Feds grabbed my attention.
2000-2004
I Did a lot of gaming here. Mostly DnD, still second edition. I resisted the d20/3rd edition stuff until closer to 2004. I had moved to Nashville, TN so there still wasn't much gaming that I knew of. I added Star Wars d6 to my list here. I was fairly stagnant in gaming here though as a general rule. I had a long running nearly 2 year campaign which included about 10 players in 2 different groups. So I was pretty much stuck into one game, DnD.
2004
I moved to Minnesota and discovered what gaming could be. This is the year I met the crew at Atlas Games and started play testing on site for them. Still mainly DnD this year, I added Ars Magica, Feng Shui to the list of familiar games. I found my first PbP Site this year and got involved with this.
2005
My first and only Gaming Design Credits came this year. I was the book layout artist of Both Northern Crown Books. Role playing in Mythic Colonial America. It was also my only Gen Con that year. Mainly because of the Northern Crown Release. I discovered many new games that year, including Mutants and Masterminds, as well as Seventh seal. I got a chance here to meet some awesome people this year, including, Matt Forbeck, Paul Tevis, Ken Hite, Robin Laws, to name a few. It was here I was introduced to Burning wheel and Dogs in the vineyard as I took the Wick/Sorenstrum Game design seminar at gen Con. I was also introduced to Gaming Podcasting this year. Eventually finding the Round Table.
2006-2007
Saw the Indie game scene explode in my life. I added SotC, Contenders, Prime Time Adventures, Best Friends, Dogs in the Vineyard as well as the introduction to other games which I want to play. Grew into Podcasting and started and produced my own podcast devoted to Playing Traditional RPGs online. Also participated in my first game Chef. And started work on my own RPG, titled Holding Court. Also during this time, I got a chance to join the Rolemonkeys for a game of SotC which was one of the MOST fun opportunities to GM Ive had.
I'm sure I am forgetting things, but thats about it for me. Oh can I add watching The owners of Atlas Games' Rabbits when they go off to Gencon and Origins, and whatever else as a part of my RPG Resume?

Welcome Thayan ! Thank you for the extensive resume.

Maybe - Maybe not.. The premise turned out to be much more of a LARP but the idea was that there was a Social Mechanic which literally developed an artificial manipulative Social Structure within the group of characters which was used and lost in attempting things...
Very RP heavy as the mechanic was a bidding system...Its basically done in an alpha form.. There is a bit more development I need to do.
The basic premise is the players form the Court of a King/Queen and bicker and play
