Hi, all. I can't remember if I introduced myself or not; my wife might have come in and interrupted.
Anyway: real world, I have two kids, a wife, and a job (tech writing). I had a brain tumour removed a year ago last September, which I'm glad of. I write fiction as well as playing roleplaying games.
Started RPGs in, oh, January of 1981. It didn't work out so well, so I took a break for a couple of years, got talked into Champions in 1983, and it's been a hobby ever since. I'm into M&M now, but have played a bunch of things...Sorcerer, DC Heroes, Reign, all the various Hero games, Lace & Steel, Unknown Armies, the list goes on.
So...hi.

Hi Kipling and welcome. What kind of fiction are you writing, I'm curious ? Is it RPG related fiction or completely different stuff ?

Welcome to the community! For finding players the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php) is an invaluable tool and for recruiting players as a DM the Campaign Invitations (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum is perfect. Please join us in on any of the various topics being discussed in the forums. For best results taking the initiative to contact players in your area should greatly increase your chances of finding others to game with. Many players are in groups that have openings but since they aren't the GM they don't go out of their way to recruit new players for the game. I wish you the best of luck in finding gaming bliss in the near future.

Both. I'm doing stories related to the Freedom League (in Mutants & Masterminds) but I also write SF, fantasy, sword & sorcery, horror, mystery, and (gasp) erotica.
And have been paid for the erotica and a fantasy piece so far. You?

Hello and welcome aboard. What is the fantasy writting about? Was wondering if it is available in bookstores?

I'm not doing novels yet, I'm afraid. But if you click on (shameless plug) http://www.nanobison.com or, eventually, their archive, you can read "Renfield and the Modern Woman" which is vampires-crossed-with-Bertie-Wooster, and it's by me.
I have an actual horror zombie tale out there trying to be accepted; it's gotten close a couple of times.
And eventually there will be more stories.

If it's any consolation I'm not getting paid either.

Hey Kipling. nice to meet you. I can never seem to finish a story of my own, so it is an admirable quality that you can write and keep on doing so.

The trick is to get this one done, make the next one perfect.
