Once, in high school, I bought a bag of unbalanced 20 sided dice (you can buy them in bulk for very little). I then glued many of them together and hung them from my rear view mirror... much the same as you would fuzzy dice. I drove it proudly around town for months.

How about confessions from other gentlemen (women too) on the forum. Spill your dorky guts.

Cheers,
Kickstand

I have to wait for the statute of limitations to wear out before I openly admit to my foolish transgressions.

Friend of mine would bring a D20 with him everywhere. He used it to decided where to go to lunch on workdays. had a chart with 20 locations on it and where ever the die landed, that's where he went.

Although I think this is possibly going to be moved elsewhere on the forums, I'll add mine to the list. When I was in high school, there were all sort of "nicknames" given to us that where in the Marching Band. The two most common where band dork and band fag. Of course these were given to us by the football players. It probably didn't help that they were usually getting beat at the games and we were winning all kinds of awards. The names were used even after graduation. They stopped using them about myself when I went into the Marines.

Well, since this is the introductions area, welcome aboard.

Look at the player registry and campaign invitations for gamers/games near you.

Please feel free to join the discussions on their appropriate boards. ;)

Welcome, welcome. Most Dorky? Hard to say. Being an early adopter of D&D? Going to Star Trek conventions? Playing Violin? I'm some kind of super geek, but I own my own home and have been married for a long time.

Welcome to the community! For finding players the Player Registry (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/memberlist.php) is an invaluable tool and for recruiting players as a DM the Campaign Invitations (http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum is perfect. Please join us in on any of the various topics being discussed in the forums. For best results taking the initiative to contact players in your area should greatly increase your chances of finding others to game with. Many players are in groups that have openings but since they aren't the GM they don't go out of their way to recruit new players for the game. I wish you the best of luck in finding gaming bliss in the near future.
