One of the best ways to find a group is to take initiative. Sometimes there will be a lot of players in your area looking for a group (LFG), but no one looking for players (LFP). If this is the case, your area might be ripe for the creation of a whole new group. You may want to try PMing some of the other LFGs and see if they are interested in starting a new group. You don't necessarily have to be the game master to get the ball rolling, but you'll definitely need to have one person who is willing to give it a try, if nothing else, and someone to host.
