Check out this new article Wizards of the Coast posted recently:

Ask Wizards: 01/25/2008 (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4ask/20080125a)

Will there be multiclassing in 4E? What are the overarching design goals and philosophies of multiclassing in 4E and how are they different from in the past?

I know I always knock these things. I just wanted to point out that there are three separate questions here and only one is answered. Why don't they just trim the description to fit what is actually shown in the video?! Damn you "Ask Wizards" design and editing team

There will be multi-classing but they won't be answering the subsequent questions simply because they don't know the answers yet. If you want more information you can search the Insider forums in the coming months.

The video answered all the questions....it just didn't give the answers you wanted.

I would have liked it better if Sara Girard had told us. ;)

I am hoping for free wheeling multi-classing with no penalty like D20 modern and my own games.
