I don't know if this FAQ is good or not. Is it actually useful? Well organized? Easy to search? Can somebody who knows share an opinion?

The FAQ is nothing but a 112 page compolation of their Ask Wizards questions that they bothered to answer. Having made it to the ranks of the Ask Wizards answers, it means they they wer getting a PILE of the same rules clarification questions for the same thing over and over.

It it more useful for rules lawyers, but if the books leave you guessing, it can sometimes be useful. As for ease of use... the search feature is better than the Table of contents.

It can be useful, especially to fight power hungry players who like to misinterpret things in their favor. I do not necessarily agree with everything they answer, but that is the DM way and prerogative. Some things while not strictly against the letter of the law, are against the spirit of the game and the original designers intent. I have actually found such things where Skip Williams stated his intent was different than Andy Collins answer. A good DM can make such a distinction, Ask Wizards can not.

A good DM can make such a distinction, Ask Wizards can not.A good DM feels and understands it is their duty to do so. A good DM stands by their decisions no matter how angry the rule lawyer. Now if all the players are angry, well that is a different case all together :rolleyes:
